So how much pastry??

 :) Maybe it's for people who like twice as much pastry as others???
What about the rest of the recipe? It was looking quite delicious, even if there was too much pastry (or not enough  :P

I suppose it's possible - it is a parcel of pastry isn't it? It's not something I've ever made so I'm just surmising.

It's the difference between 1 x 450 & 2 x 450 that bugs me.

Yes - it's a great dish - & a parcel. I think I just used a 500 ml block, but it was tight!

It is odd, I can't think why it should be so different?

Does it mean you could use 2 x 450g ready made or the recipe using 450g of flour - I have always referred to the amount of pastry I need to make by the amount of flour eg 12oz if I am making an apple pie refers to the amount of flour only.

I would look on the page for the books pastry recipe, I think the answer will be there. I don't think it means actual weight..

I would read it  right as 2 packets of purchased but I am guessing the "from scratch" recipe will be more than the weight of 1 packet.

Good thinking, Jeannine but -- the diy gives 605g - of which you take 450g?

But you can use 2x450 bought??

For Pru Leith, I find this a bit unusual.

I guess you will have to wing it again TIm.. ;D
