Allotments 4 All

On Wednesday my son took me down to S.E.London for my brother-in-laws funeral, Ted was 88, he was a milkman for all his working life (except for war years). Ted and my sister only had two children, a son and a daughter. Unfortunately Patsy the daughter died in 2006 with cancer. My nephew arranged for a milk float to be the lead car and this morning there is a story on front page of local paper. I haven't put this in listening forum as my nephew said it was to be a celebration of his Dad's life and what a celebration it was.
My sister married two weeks after I married in 1952.

That is a nice story Lorna, I bet it got a few second glances!

I think much of mourning is about remembering and celebrating the good things we shared with the person who has died. This way, we balance the grief and gain a new perspective in life.

Sorry to hear about your Brother in Law, Lorna.  His send off sounded very apt for someone who had spent most of his life delivering milk.
