Hi All,

I had 2kg of leeks from a farm as mine are not ready but only used 2 so far any ideas how i can keep the other 6? I have topped and tailed them to make leek and potato soup but husbands not keen. Idealy i would like to be able to stick them in the freezer as they are so i can pull one out and pop into a dish but not sure if they will keep?

HELP

slice and freeze... great for adding to soups and stews.. or leeks in white sauce..
Now a member of the 10 Ton club.... (over 10 ton per acre)    2013  harvested 588 Kg from 165 sq mt..      see my web blog at...  http://www.gavinconway.net

thanks guys i am sticking them in the freezer now :) I have had a big clean out of the freezer before we went to france last week for a stock up so we have eaten all but one frozen tub of soup and i think the husband might kill me if i took that out of the freezer :)

I picked these up in waitrose and there amazing with soup http://artisanbiscuits.co.uk/millers_toast.html

We have the Hazelnut and pecan ones left but the tomato and chilli are yum in tomato soup :)
