Back in Feb I planted some bare root Autumn Bliss raspberry canes. Despite the warmer spell  etc there is still no sign of growth.....have I anything to worry about? Just looking for some reassurance based on experience.

I would not worry too much. My autumn bliss, that are well established,  have just started to show a bit of green but I am down in Sussex compared to you.

Plenty of time yet.

I was wondering about this myself, my established canes are coming on, but my new ones planted in February haven't started yet, not so worried now though. cheers!

I am in a similar situation...I planted three rows in February after digging up and clearing couch grass from the roots. I thought I had lost mine but they are now beginning to show signs of life...thank heaven.
We mustn't be too impatient ....but we are  ;D

I planted Autumn Bliss in Feb this year and a couple of them are just starting to show some growth. The more established Glem whatsit (Morangie -I wish ;D) are well in leaf now with new canes coming up all over.  Got a small autumn crop from these as well as a summer one.

If one could successfully grow Glen Morangie then my hubby would become a gardener...

Back to the question, I planted my Joan J autumn canes on Jan 18th 2003 and recorded the shoots on April 5th. (And now I have them growing everywhere!)
