Supposed to be 60 F today but I was digging and moving bricks so it felt like 85F.

That is a very good way to save on the heating bills and keep the aches and pains away!

If only I could persuade my parents out of the door (or as far as the doorjamb) perhaps 21oC would not feel cold to them! It has to be 23 on the dot or it's "I don't think it's very warm in here".....Sometimes I do get a headache. ::)

We have a couple of ladies at church with a fixation that the thermostat 'ought' to be set at 23, and constantly alter it. Trouble is, most of our people are Caribbean or African, some are elderly, and they've definitely not been selected for cold tolerance. So if I forget to put the temperature up again, they come in and complain that the heating isn't on.

That's why long underwear was invented.

My father now has the answer to these cold days indoors (21oC). He sat in his armchair next to the radiator with a knitted hat on.  ::) I stuck the heating up 3o and the hat soon came off again.  ;)

My husband came to bed one night wearing a ski cap---in August!  I hate to think what he'll be like at 80 ::)

Aden Roller

Chilly here now but it is twenty to one in the morning!

It's been not a bad Saturday at all considering it is almost the middle of November.
Mild.  :)

jimtheworzel

a bit brighter today....dry....temp    11.8c

Poppy Mole

Just spent an hour on the verandah with the newspaper in glorious warm sunshine, but it's one all hazy again now.

Lottiman

It was so very mild on the plot today I was shifting dung in a t-shirt ;D This time last year it was absolutely freezing.

Aden Roller

Very mild here too. Digging on the plot saw first the coat hung up in the shed closely followed by the jumper too until the light began to fade and temperatures dipped a bit.

jimtheworzel

Still dry.....temp  7.3 c today but feels colder

saddad

Cool start but bright and dry reaching 12C...  :)

The weather today in Ipswich has been mild and sunny;  we had a visit to our allotments by forty plus 'reception class' pupils from our local primary school  this morning and they had a great time looking round our allotments and the wildlife area and collecting fallen leaves and other 'treasures'.  They also enjoyed feeding the chickens (by arrangements with Pat who owns the chickens) and we look forward to having them visit again in the Spring

cornykev

Mild and Sunny here too
It was a high of 8 oc last year with a frosty start.
;D
