I was given this plant as a seedling with the tag "mystery plant" and like Topsy it has growed and growed and is now pretty large. It is really annoying me because I ought to know what it is but can't put a name to it. It's a climber/ trailer/ sprawler and has two different types of leaves as you will see in the photos. (fingers crossed x).

It's driving me daft!!! I know I have grown this before but just can't place it. ::)

Boston ivy maybe (Parthenocissus tricuspidata)?

Thanks Simon. I think it is probably some kind of vine - it doesn't have the sticky pads of Boston ivy but tendrils.  I can see where you're coming from though.  I suppose I should really ask the person who gave it to me!!

If the person who gave it to you knew the name, surely they wouldn't have labelled it 'Mystery Plant'  :)

I haven't a clue what it is, but I hope you find out soon  ;)
I was born with nothing and have most of it left.

Has it two different leaf forms? Your photos seem to suggest this.

Is it evergreen or is it changing colour now autumn is here?

I guess it's an outside plant. How much growth has it made since you had it and has it produced any flowers or berries?

Not Virginia creeper. Perhaps a type of Boston Ivy as Unwashed suggests.
