Is anyone else finding this?,

Have got our spuds stored in shed outside where its cool and dark.

Not had them sprout this soon before!!

Anyone know what is causing this so soon?

Fluctuating temperatures confuse the spuds, mine are doing the same its just a case of tipping them out of the bags rubbing the shoots off of them and rebagging, it got to get cold shortly then the spuds will go to sleep.

Mine as well, as Paul said check regularly rub off the chits and try to use them ones first, one of my chits was a thick purplely chit perfect for planting, I was tempted but resisted.  ??? :D

Yep - mine have a few sprouts as well. just rub them off and wait a few weeks till they have a good long sleep..

My Charlottes have some spouts. I am going to bury 5 of them under heaps of straw, compost and fleece.

Mad, I know, but volunteers are always up first? At worst I get 5 frozen potatoes.

last of the red duke of york and some kestrels are sprouting, rubbed them off and re-bagged, not a sprout on the desiree and they were picked at the same time  :)
