Anyone any suggestions, found a nice large heart for sauce but that near dissolves when fried. Roma about the best I've found but not keen on the taste.

Black Russian Plum's pretty good for that, plus, and I know it'll sound wierd, Tigerlla seems to hold itself together when cooked....

Thanks for the post.

A lot of people think that tomatoes should be firm and crisp for salads.

Frankly I hate them raw but love them cooked.

For real sweetness and tang at the same time you could try Sungold. Very tiny I know but sliced in two and fried on a high heat it is delicious!

Normally I wouldn't bother frying such a tiny tomato and I prefer them fresh and uncooked anyway but I had a bowl full and cooked some for my parents..... delicious!

I like 'Plum Fryer' 'Russian Black' and 'Christel's Plum' for frying, all very tasty.
If it's not pouring with rain, I'm either in the garden or at the lottie! Probably still there in the rain as well TBH....🥴
