Phew! Just saved my spinach seedlings from slugs

My young spinach has just had a very lucky escape i lifted the fleece cover off to see how they were getting on & there were 4 :o slugs making their way towards them! Im so glad I decided to check as it was an afterthought, I had already got to the allotment gates when I went back for a peek. When will the slugs start to b*gger off? x jane
