Does anyone know what type of brassica seedlings can appear in bird seed. I have some healthy looking ones under the feeder. Now I know why we buy the no grow mix ::).

I think it usually is rape seed..judging from what grows under mine...usually.. :-X ;D

Is it OK for the chickens then, there isn't much of it.

Certainly is.  We used to give birdseed rape sproutings to our chooks when we had them and there are cultivars grown specifically for forage.
