The Council are replacing the fencing around the allotments, first two panels up and think it looks quite good.  Doesn't spoil the view over the playing fields. Second photo of original fence.

How come yours is being replaced first  :'(
Is the place left open at night or are they doing it bit by bit
Is any of the old fencing any good for growing things up
I think we've got another compost being delivered soon.   :P

Nice fence Borlotti
When I get old I don't want people thinking
"What a sweet little old lady"........
                             I want em saying
"Oh Crap! Whats she up to now ?"

Borlotti

It is left open at night, and day whilst the new fence is going up.  We got our's first, so what, I don't care.  No compost yet.

OH did say I could ask for some old fencing or some of the orange netting they use, but don't think I will as the old fencing is very heavy, the orange netting might be OK if they are throwing it out.  OH keeps giving me lovely stuff/rubbish that is good for the allotment, but I want to keep my allotment tidy, not full of old junk (like my house/garden). The fence is coming on well, but the gate hasn't arrived yet so we have a big gap, so much for security. This fencing is much more attractive than some of the heavier stuff we have at the other side of the allotments, but as this overlooks the playing fields the lovely view is not spoilt.  We are so lucky, until we get an increased bill next year.  Dream on Kev, you may get yours soon.

I'm not holding my breath, trees are being chopped was another thing I'm not holding my breath on. The orange and they have blue builders netting is very good I have some for my peas.    ;D ;D ;D

Yes, it is looking good (the new fence).  Also we are getting another delivery of Council compost and a rubbish truck soon.  Still get free wood chip and manure (but not sure if that is from the Council, or arranged through Site Sec.)  We are so lucky in sunny Enfield (we even had a thunder storm last night and rain).

I grew up in Enfield perhaps I should have stayed. Although at the time I didnt know I would want an allotment ;D
