^^ that is a bit disappointing.  You've got to have a talk with him and his Mom.  If you get a load of language back at least you will know how the land lies.  It would be nice if Bill or some other Veteran was with you to referee  :) and if all else fails be a witness.    I would not rely on the letter having any effect.  Sounds like a cop out from the council to me.  What was a 15 year old doing having a bonfire on an allotment site anyway?

I think you will have to point out how upset you were.  Perhaps he thought that the compost bin was just rubbish.  I think I would start by assuming there has been something of a misunderstanding.

I suggest some kind of visible demarcation such as a piece of coloured rope, you can normally get it in one of the cheapo shops in blue or pink, then maybe a notice which says please keep off my plot.

Whats a 15 year old doing having an allotment. Breaches our rules actually as it states that plot holders arent allowed to let under 16's be on the plot alone.

I have sent Bill a message through here and hopefully he may well be able to lend a hand and I think I may at least go down to plot tomorrow night even if I just stay the rec side of the gate with a camera ;)

As you say a roped off area with a keep of my plot notice may well help.

I am all for teenagers doing a bit of work on a allotment along side a adult to learn. But this young man must have been told the bounderes of his plot, and only work  and touch within this space. It is easy sitting here writing this as  its ,not happend to me But can you not get them to repair everything that they have broken , and put right everything to your satisfaction. Just maybe there  is a good lad in there that is willing to learn, and share. But you should also find out from your local council how this was all allowed to happen it must have been a great upset for all on your site. As for marking your  area with a rope NO  they have had there warning you should not have to tell anyone twice

Rugby post - im all for kids learning how to grow veggies too, in fact I was going to build a kid level bed for the boys to grow some veg in from the pallets. they will have to sit on the ground now to plant.

Got the councils eletter today that was promised so I hope that it got read before they went down to plot tonight. It was better worded than expected and asked for anone to come forward who knew anything too and threatened police action and immediate eviction for the culprits if caught. So quite pleased with that.

the investigator in me went down to plot about 7.30 last night to see if there was any activity, there wasnt and no-one had appeared to have been there, but by god was it dark, it really gave me the heebie geebies.

I have contacted Bill and we are going to meet up too. poor bloke he meeting me with the nippers in tow, so I hope they are on good behavior.
