I saw these.  :D  Do you think that they would be suitable to go into big pots, or would they need to be planted into the ground?

They will do OK in large pots, but the ones I tried like that died....entirely my fault, I just didn't water enough. I think I will try some cherry trees for my other plot this year, I fancy training some over an arch or two..... ;D
If it's not pouring with rain, I'm either in the garden or at the lottie! Probably still there in the rain as well TBH....🥴

ooooooooooooooooooooh! so thats lidl tomorrow aldi thur.. can anyone advise though, my kids want fruit trees, im thinking stella (eating?) cherry, bramley (cooking) apple but need a good sweet eating apple, and possibly similar pear and plum... any recomendations? and how far apart to plant? also do i need to worry about polination? sorry its taken me years to get this far and havent been to the plot for too long now :( weather and illness :( id love to get some fruit trees in next week and have a good long overdue tidy up... thanx in advance xx
i think i like it here :D now who can tell me how to grow my own chocolate???

Stella is supposedly self-fertile, but will do better if there's another cherry there too.... I'll be getting a couple of Morello's and as I already have a Stella I should get good fruit set.... If I were buying plums I'd buy one of each but I'd want to know what rootstocks they're on..
