Yes hopefully all will go wll for them .

I hope they take an extra couple of days and case the borehole (steel liner) without caseing there is a chance the hole can collapse and a miner getting stuck being pulled up. Doesn't bear thinking about.

They and their families must be so worried and yet excited as each hour passes.
Hoping all goes well for them.

I read the other day that they need to put in some kind of lining so that the cradle which has wheels on the side has something smooth to drive on.  I thought they were saying it would be some days between finishing the borehole and pulling the miners up.

Did you hear about the person who went down to mend a vehicle so it was his first time down the mine?

I quite fancied the idea of staying in a hole in the ground until after Christmas..........

It's wonderful!!  How they must be feeling today.  It's very emotional to watch, I've already shed a tear or two and they're only up to number six, LOL.  I'm never going to get to work at this rate!

HOORAY FOR THE MINERS AND THEIR FAMILIES!!!! ;D ;D ;D

So emotional too.........just pray they all make it.  :)

Such brave men.  I hope they get them all out safely.  It worried me this morning when they had problems with one of the wheels but it is working all right now.

It's such a long way down that I keep thinking "what if the capsule gets stuck?".  That is the pessimist coming out in me yet usually I am an optimist.  I do hope everything goes well.

I've been watching at work today, I can't wait for the one to come out with his wife and mistress waiting at the top for him.    ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
MAY THE CORN BE WITH YOU.

I don't think the capsule will get stuck looking at the size of the winch and cable and the engineering of the capsule a little wear and tear maybe but like everyone else I'm happy that the miners are being winched to safety and the surface, :)

It's just wonderful in these times of gloom and doom to have a (hopefully completely) story with a happy ending.

I used to work on a rotary drilling rig we used to get tools stuck down the borehole. In our case it cost us time and a few thousand quid in drilling gear depending on how much was lost.

Hope they all get out ok.

It is such an amazing story of the strength of the human spirit.  It's just unimaginable.

got to be said about those chilean miners - the lengths they've gone to to get away from their wives to get to spend some time with the lads is legendary ;)
