No rain last night - totally gutted. 

We had a downpour last night & in the night. I'll wish it along to you ;).

Only a light 'dusting' ::) :(...

Well i woke up this morning, woke up yesterday too
filled up my watering can, feeling so blue
If I wake up tomorrow, that'll be three days in a row

oh yea

Still nothing here. I am going away for few days on Sunday so Grandson Joshua (15) has promised to keep my pots/baskets/troughs watered for me. Would normally try to avoid going away at this time but afraid this visit is important for a family member.

i enjoy the warm weather,but these droughts arnt good for the plot,and they dont do works pond any favours either which is a worry for me as the fish are expensive to say the least  :(

We had a decent amount last night- the pots were still damp this evening. Going to be hot again tomorrow but heavy rain forecast for Sunday.

PLEASE!!!......I need some of this now!....not a thunderstorm,just a nice fall over a 24 hour period at least.....

If it goes on much longer I'll be sneaking off to the juju man.

So much for forecasts- not a drop today and now only "light rain" forecast for Wednesday. >:(

I havent had any rain at all for nearly a month & there wasnt much before that  ::)
Ive only got about 4 inches of water left in my rain water butt & my poor blueberries can only have rain water as they dont like the mains water  :o
I am so grateful for the council water supply on the site, Im having to water twice a day some days just to keep the squash plants going, got a feeling I wont have many decent crops this year as everything is going to seed or producing flowers too quickly, sigh  :(
Even my raspberries arent juicy when ripe  :'(   they crumble into tiny pieces when picked so Im freezing them all at the moment so I can use them in smoothies.
 

Just the lightest of sprinkled rain today but sure it will come soon.

I can use a hose on my little plot,was not allowed on the lottie and regularly had hands down to my ankles from carrying watering cans.

Just wait till the water companies issue hosepipe bans................... 

It's ages since it's rained here in Leicester and the soil is like dust.  My arms are 2 feet longer through carrying watering cans backwards and forwards and they are also more tanned than they have ever been.

My water butts are empty and I really really really wish it would rain.

How can you grow stuff in these conditions?

In 30 months we gone from two consecutive wettest summers, the coldest winter in 30 years , the wettest winter for 20 years , and then the driest summer for 30 years. Its ridiculous!!!


When my kids were smaller we use to go caravanning, we gave up eventually when we had a spell that lasted about 4 years where every single time we went vanning it pissed with rain, and vanning in the rain with kids is not only twice as expensive, its also no fun and a pitb.

the kids has long gone bat one, but me and Her Indoors went to the seaside on sunday, it was lovely weather, but i realised i didnt have sun oil, swimming trunks of sunglasses, because you havent needed any of that in this country for the last 4 summers.

I've got a blue watering can.....

I "stole"a can of rainwater from a lottie neighbours water butt for my blueberries today.The depths to which we stoop ! :o
