At last my son is home from Uni for the summer. I got up at six and set off to get him, he said he had a lot more to bring home than he took with him to Uni. All loaded up and then he announced that the accommodation office was not open till ten am. So we had to wait around for the best part of an hour and a half to get the keys back and make our way home.
Once here the unpacking of the car started, rain came and went in the blink of an eye. Now he has the large double room to himself as another of the clan has her own place to live in now. All change in this house so we can fit all of us in.
All we hope is that he is able to find some form of work to do over the next few months so he can afford to pay for the digs he wants when he returns in Sept.
Oh well, we shall have to wait and see.

I picked up my daughter's stuff on Monday- quite chuffed that I fitted it all in my Panda! She's back tomorrow for a few days before going to Lanzarote for a week, then it's down to the job hunting as she's finished her course now.

Remember it well lanidmead, they go with a couple of boxes and come back with a house load!
It was exactly three years ago that I encouraged hubby to buy a brand new Peougot estate (which didnt last two mins and was quickly sold) to bring home eldest from Uni, did not know where we were gonna put him and still to this day ( as hes still here) its all a kind of squeeze.

He is now a school teacher and free during school hols and just about to embark on six weeks travelling in the Phillipines for the Summer holidays, so we can all breath a little and look forward to a lesser scattering of towels, shoes and rugby and gym kits but will miss him madly - a mess pot when hes here and a worry when hes not  ::)  :-\  :'(
