Allotments 4 All

Back in April when we were wanting our daffodils for the spring shows the seasom was about 3 weeks late but now we are only a few days behind a normal year. I judge this in that almost every year for the past 20 years I have cut my first sweet pea flowers during chelsea flower show week, which was last week but this year I will not cut until tomorrow. We always say nature puts things right and it seems so.

Hope that means T&M will finally be able to send me the rhubarb I ordered last October - last time I spoke to them they said the late frosts had knocked it back a month. ::)

Yes I feel so happy the garden is starting to look lush finally.

They say that we are in global warming. I have kept a gardening diary for the past ten years, take my raspberry's for instance. My birthday is June 15th and for the first 5 years I ate my first few raspberry's on that date, for the past 5 years they have all been a week later, this also applies to my strawberries. I am of the opinion that we are actually beginning another Iceage and the scientists have got it all wrong. Have any of you lotties kept a long term diary as it would be interesting to hear your comments.l
