I'm a bit concerned about mine.
I bought the hubby a birthday gift last year of a 3 metre high wisteria.
It was April so obviously I wasn't expecting anything in year one. Although I got good leaf growth which was reassuring.
It's late April now and here on the south coast there's a few buds but almost nothing happening?? I'm wondering if I should give it a big feed or something??

was it in flower when you purchased it? (best to purchase wisteria in flower)
did you prune it back to 'big buds?
what aspect does it occupy? (mine is on a south-facing wall)

I wouldn't worry too much Wilder, they take a while to settle but then they just take off. I planted my two more years ago than I care to remember ::) at the front of our house on a westerly facing border.

Tony's quite right about the pruning though, once the plant has established and grown to cover the area you want to cover, nip it back to 2/3 buds in winter.
