Oh that's disappointing, he is always on about his family and he would have loved to hear from you.  Can't you join Facebook just for him?

Scarecrows Smith is delighted that so many of you have become his friends.  He doesn't know who most of you are, but I've told him you are a nice friendly bunch and are all interested in reading seed catalogues like he is.

With my own Facebook account, all my friends are people I actually know but with Scarecrows Smith I am inviting friends of friends to be his friend.  I know it's a bit mad, and that I should get a life, but who cares..... ;D ;D

Twitter is the latest craze.  I think it is a sort of micro blog.   Its the latest thing young people do.  They do on line on their mobile phones and do it.    Hopefully there is someone more switched on who can give you a better description.
