This has given me a good idea, I think that if I do a parcel next year I will ask for contributions from people to start it off with.

I hope Levi is ok.

I think that's a good idea anyway as it means that the early people are getting a good selection too....

My parcel is still on the go and has two or three more to go, would those who missed out with like to be added to my list.

How kind ! Or as they don't say in Germany "Sehr britisch von dir!" (very British of you!) ;D

We've been doing seedswaps for years on A4A with no problems until last year and now this. I've been mulling it over and wondering whether we should do like Chriscross's swap - everyone sends their contributions and SAEs to the organiser along with things they want/don't want and the organiser divvies it all up and sends it out. Just an idea. Don't know what you all think?

Me too!

I think it's a real shame as I for one like the package lading on my mat and sitting with a cup of coffee perusing it's contents  :-\

Of course. That's the best bit. Unpacking it all and looking at the different varieties and reading about them. Even if you don't actually want them it's fun exploring what's there. And trying to decide what, realistically, you will use and then going through your own stuff to decide what to put in the parcel.  It's just great unless it breaks down halfway there.

I really love it when a parcel arrives, spending time having a lookie through and then choosing seeds I want to add in. Then a mad rush to the post office to get it back on its way the same day if poss.

The send your seeds in and they get sent back swap is good, exciting to have a total mystery, but I think it misses out on a little of the fun. They also seem to be specific, squash or tomatoes rather than all veg.  You don't always know what you want until the choice is in front of you, it may be a case of just taking 2 or 3 seeds to try.

They mystery parcel going the rounds is good because people will include things which nobody would think of doing the more specialist ones. Oca is a good example, and the result is that more people get some tubers.
