These little beauties bring the spring a little closer. I'm not sure why but for the last 4 years I've had a daffodils start in December. Not many but pretty none the less. picture was taken yesterday

Lovely. Where's the snow?!

GrannieAnnie

Quite daring of them. How cold is it where you are or are they in a very protected pocket?  If they are extremely cold tolerant could be a seed company would be interested.
The handle on your recliner does not qualify as an exercise machine.

We have only had a cm or so and they are under a hedge so its all gone for the moment.

Oh dear, my nieces in Ammanford will be upset if they haven't had much snow!

I'm quite close to the sea, Ammanford is further inland and higher than me. Looking over at the hills in the distance I would think it will be quite white for your nieces :)

Very daring GrannieAnnie, if it were me I would be well tucked up.

It's a fairly mild area of the country, not far from the cost. I think these daffs are the one that came originally from my grannies garden and she had had them planted for years. They have moved with me several times and are great for naturlising.

But its only in the last few years they have been extra early! I'dont think they are a special type- just out of kilter. I thought when it was cold last year they would 'right' themselves this year. I'm happy they haven't though :)
