The account has been muted which means they are currently unable to post using the mrestofus account.

It does not stop them using their other accounts or creating new ones though.

There are typically four levels of action available for breaking forum rules. The level used will be decided by the mod/admin who issues the retrictions based on the severity of the problem a member causes as will the length of time the restrictions are in effect for:

■ Warned: You will not lose any privileges or permissions when warned.  This is simply a state in which you should be careful about your actions.  If you misbehave and are already in the warning state you will usually be moderated or muted next.

■ Moderated: You can still post but all of your posts must be approved by an admin/moderator prior to being shown to the rest of the forum.

■ Muted: While muted you will not be able to post at all.

■ Temporarily Banned: Temporarily blocks you from using the forum.

■ Permanently Banned: Banning blocks you from using the forum.  It is a last resort and is irreversible.

FWIW I reckon it's better if we know who he is & nobody replies directly to his stupid posts (personally I ignore the sensible ones from him most of the time too...).
