few questions about your netting setup since no one else has asked.
1.how is the netting supported
2. how was the netting secured.
3. how small are of opening in the netting.
4. how close is the netting to the plants.
5. what type material is the netting plastic, metal or nylon.
6. did you use any other deterrence beside the netting.

mummybunny

hi

The netting was supported using wooden stake's 8 in all and was held down using bricks. Its scaffold netting so Nylon i think. The netting was about a foot away from the top of the PBS. I haven't used any other deterrent. In the progress of making a scare crow but not sure if they work?

The main problem is the wind, Its a very windy site and I'm the first plot so i get the brunt of it. Me and the OH was thinking about putting some sort of wind break up along the edge to see if that helps. I'm also making some frame's up that will have stakes and also slot just inside the raised bed. I will cover either in some sort of wire mesh or netting. Hopefully that will give a little more weight and support.

Thanks Lucy

Ray has attached nails to either side of the raised bed, he slots canes through the holes along the netting and hooks it over the nails, seems to have worked but ours are weighted down with frozen snow at the moment  :-\

Graah-that happened to me last year. Plants looked very forlorn but the heads survived. Hope yours ok!  :)
