I've picked up a bit of that bright orange sturdy plastic building site mesh stuff that they use to fence off areas.  I was wondering what it would be ideal for.  Would it work as raspberry support (like a trellis) instead of wires?

Seen this stuff supported with metal spikes and used to grow peas, cant attest to how go it is tho not used it myself.

Hi Mme. Hi all  :)

I have some that I`m using as a temporary leaf cage on my top plot. I am encouraging my friends to dump their garden leaves in it. They can see where to put them because of the colour.

That's an idea Fork - is that ordinary netting on top for a big brassica cage?

Fork

Yes,thats ordinary netting over the top.

The barrier fencing to deter the rabbits and foxes and the netting to dter the birds.

The bad point of that stuff is if the frost gets at it,  it gets very brittle

Mine goes out after all danger of frost and it comes back in again before the frosts come again.

I have some heavy duty barrier fencing and some smaller gauge stuff. The thin stuff doesnt last very long at all.Two seasons at the most.
