i've had a pile of manure sitting in my garden for about 7 weeks now (maybe more) and my husband planted some cabbages in it not sure why but hey, they're growing fine (infact they're better than the others he put in the ground) can i take it that this manure is safe?

i havent got around to getting some broad beans to do the bean test yet you see.....

It is beans etc, potatoes and tomatoes etc which seem to be worst affected.  Found this link.

Looks like the answer is no.

Thanks Digeroo.   The site you reference says Remember that aminopyralid does not affect all crops - if less susceptible crops such as brassicas have been planted, aminopyralid may still be present, undetected, in your soil, compost or manure. It is therefore important to remain vigilant each time you plant a new crop.

Quotebroad beans to do the bean test

If you have no broad beans, any bean will do, and peas as well.  For me it was the climbing french beans that showed the most reaction.  Just make sure you grow some fore comparision.

Quotegetting some broad beans to do the bean test yet

Don't forget you can ask Dow to send you a kit.  Ceres was keen that we send off for as many as possible thereby uncuring them with expense.
