DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT AMOUNT OF SATURATED FAT CONTENT THAT CREME FRESHE HAS PLEASE, I VERY STUPIDLY THOUGHT IT WAS LOWER IN FAT BUT NEARLY FELL OFF MY PEARCH WHEN I SAW THE AMOUNT OF FAT, :o IS IT REALLY ALL SATURATED??,I NEED TO KNOW, I HAVE EATEN SOME AND I SHOULDEN`T WITH MY ANGINA.   ALSO HAS FROMARGE FRAIS GOT SATURATED FAT??.
DO EXCUSE MY SPELLING OF THESE ITEMS, CANNOT BE BOTHERED TO GO DOWNSTAIRS AND CHECK.  THANK YOU ROSEBUD.

PS THE C F NEVER HAD ANY INFORMATION ON THE CONTAINER AT ALL.

Whoops!!

In France, creme fraiche = 30% fat, The stuff we use is 17.58% total with 10.78% saturates.

Fromage frais comes in 3 versions - depends on what you want to use it for: 8%, 4%  &  less than 1%. Don't know about saturates. = Tim

Government advice:
Red  = avoid if possible,
Amber = use occasionally
Green = OK
Milk & Dairy Foods

Red - Cheddar, Cheshire, Gouda, Stilton, Danish Blue, Double Gloucester, cream or soft cheese, Mascarpone cheese and any cheese with more than 30g fat per 100g (includes some Brie). Full fat or extra cream milks. Single, whipping, double or clotted cream. Cream substitutes containing the same amount of fat. Crème fraiche, half fat crème fraiche.

Yellow - Edam, Feta, Mozzarella, Leerdamer, Yorkshire Blue, strong flavoured cheeses in tiny amounts for flavour e.g. Parmesan. Camembert, some Brie, some soft cheese (check that it has less than 30g total fat per 100g). Full fat yoghurt or fromage frais, Greek yoghurt, half fat cream.

Green - Half fat cheddar, half-fat Edam. Cottage cheese, extra light soft cheese, light soft cheese, ricotta.
Fully skimmed or semi-skimmed milk. Low fat or diet yoghurts or low fat fromage frais
