We have had a couple of night frosts, and there was said to be a mere sprinkle of snow around Toronto on Monday.. more snow further north.
On route to our daughter in London, Ontario we noticed the the snow fencing is beginning to go up along the highway......... qahtan

Brrr! Here we usually no longer have a distinct winter season and it's often just cold, dark, wet and windy. In other words miserable!

, I must admit though I do love the snow,  the worse it is the better I like it, some times we can't even see across the road for white outs. Gerry said I wouldn't  like it of I had to shovel it....

I like proper snow but what we get here in London tends to be grey and slushy! Also an inch of it is enough to cause total chaos with transport at a near standstill.
As for shovelling the stuff...!

whats snow fencing?

saddad

It's used to stop drifting onto roads... it works for a while.. but if it gets too blowy or too snowy it gets swamped... used on the Pennines...  :)

this is snow fencing, put up along the highway where wind is likely to cause heavy drifting.

Yes my friends husband has a snow plough and she is always pleased when we get a dollop of snow. ;-))))
Owen Sound is about 130 miles from London Ontario, they always seem to get a lot of snow in Owen Sound.
