Allotments 4 All

just found this elephant ? hawk moth caterpillar heading to the bean bed, not sure if it would eat any of the crops..big b*ggar, though  ;D

I can't comment on what they think of beans, or what sort of moth caterpillar it is, but they certainly like chillies & sweet peppers! :( It's identical to the (two inch long) one that, within 24 hours, chomped through all the fruit on one of my pepper plants and then set to work on the neighbouring Scotch Bonnets.
