My 2nd favourite chilli, almost purely on looks. Explosive Ember. Sorry for leaving my logo on, for tedious technical failure reasons I can't edit the original down to a reasonable size at the moment.

Wow!  They look stunning, and by the name, I assume they are little firebombs!  I did really well with my chillis last year and have even more to grow this, also am overwintering 8 plants to see how they go in the conservatory, and 2 of them are still producing fuits.  Have cut the plants back by about a third and they have bushed up wonderfully...now all I have to do is keep the green and white fly off them!

p.s.   shug....any spare seed of that one going begging?  ;D

Kerry

tell us more, shug.....can quite see the foliage properly, but is it kind of dark too? that's one of the most striking colours that i've seen..and the heat rating?

The foliage ranges from dark green to purpley-green. They're fairly stout and bushy. The chillies glow in the sunlight when they are in their purple stage (they ripen to a dark red). I'd give 'em a 7 or 8 out of 10 for heat. Explosive may be over-stating a bit!

There's a close-up of a flower below (if I've done the link right).

EJ - Since you asked so nicely I have a few spares - I'll unhide my email so you can send me your address. Got any swapsies  ;) ? Do let me know how you get on with them!
