Sparkly

Red Kuri are lovely Duke  ;D

My squash are doing really well this year too. Atlantic giants are huge already and other squashes are quite big too. Something has to like all this water.

Lizann

These look amazing.  Wish mine looked like that.  Do these have a similar taste to butternut?

looking good Duke, I'm also growing 'crown prince' and your 'festival' looks like my 'celebration', is the festival a bush or vine plant, i ask as my 'celebration' is a bush variety.

here are mine taken end of july, they are much furher along now.

Thanks for all your comments :)

Lizann....Similar texture but in my opinion all squashes have  different flavours. If you like to eat butternut squash I think you will like most other squashes.

Thifasmom.... (Great pictures by the way)!!I picked winter festival because I was after trailing squashes. The idea was to grow my squashes over some rose arches as you can see in the photo below. Now because I planted quite a few trailing squashes and they grew so fast I couldnt see what was happening under all the green leaves. ::) It took a while for winter festival to send out some trailing shoots but I have now found some and have started tying them in. You cant quite see it in the photo but now they are starting to grow up the arches as in the previous picture of the red kuri. I understand that some call Celebration squash a semi trailing squash.
Good luck with all your squashes.

When I get old I don't want people thinking
"What a sweet little old lady"........
                             I want em saying
"Oh Crap! Whats she up to now ?"

Two are from Wilkos and the other two are from Somerfield. They were £1 cheaper in Somerfield. ;D
