How do any of you store your beetroot, mine are ready and i dont want to waste any but not sure how to store them and carrots and turnips. thanx.  ???

have stored   trim tops and store in either damp soil or sand in a box in  shed or somewhere cool use as required , i have had them keep all winter  put some sacks over if  frost is about  :)

We do the same put em in not too damp sand and they will last for ages
When I get old I don't want people thinking

I make beetroot chutney, but the only problem is it goes fast once we open the jar.  ;D
This year it's squash.
