A bit here & there, but well worth growing.

And despite all the hoo-haa about mashing potatoes, makes a very acceptable mash.

we've grown several varieties this year and these are the last ones to dig, i'm encouraged by the comments here.
Our best to date for yield and lovely flavour are yukon gold,anyone ever grown them?

It's definitely "horses for courses" Yukon Gold is one of the few I've never been able to grow...  :-[

I find Lady Christi a great first early tatty. This year they came to the table a good fortnight earlier than the Swift, Rocket and Arron pilot I grew and they cropped a lot heavier than the other first earlies.
They also tasted better than any of the others.  I found the ones that were lifted later that had grown to a good size boiled well, not like  some of the other first earlies that tend to boil away to mush  in the pan.
