Has anybody else had this prob. Treated hyacinths that are flowering right at the bottom of the leaves without the usual stalk with a flower on top. I kept them in the dark for root formation then into the light when the bud was showing.
Any ideas ?

Thanks

Could be that you kept them in the dark rather than light.  I used to put mine in the garden after their flowering.  Never came big like the proper unforced ones but still produced flowers and scent even if a little smaller!

Good luck

Mine are also short like you explain. The instructions on my pack was to keep them in a dark place for a few weeks and then bring them into the light, which is what I did. They still smell wonderful though.
