Here's a couple of pics of the polytunnel.

This is the reason I never go home till it gets dark.

Looks very colourful!

Noticed you have a seat on standby, I have a soft easy chair in the communal hut! ;D

I have only grown Sweet potatoes once before and that was many years ago would you recommend growing them  indoor/outdoor? and either in containers or in the border?

Is there much to choose in varieties,

Apologies for all the queries but I thought I might give them another bash next year.

We have to get the priorities right. Some people think allotments are about doing extra work. There are actually three folding chairs there as the tunnel tends to be a meeting point.

Sweet potatoes require lots of sunshine and warm weather and would be better off inside the greenhouse or tunnel rather than outside. I keep mine in buckets so that they remain portable and can be returned to cover once tomatoes finish in September giving them an extended growing time.

As for varieties, I just buy a small one from the local shops and grow my own slips as I believe that all companies selling slips in this country are just bulk buying from USA and the time lag results in poor quality. They overcharge too.
