Allotments 4 All

... sorry to keep coming back to the same topic, but I am growing Epicures, Golden Wonders and Anya in containers.  I have grown the first two before, and they both now are in flower - but the Anyas haven't flowered yet and dont look as they even have a suggestion of them.  Is this normal?  Firkled about but couldn't feel anything yet - they were all planted on Good Friday.

Hi Meg, growing Anya for the first time this year at the lottie.  Planted Good Friday, no flowers as yet but one or two plants of the 25 have buds by the look of it.  Lance

Phew - makes me feel better - are you quite far north - I am always seem to be about 3 to 4 weeks behind most others on the forum.

It's an early main... I'd be thinking of harvesting at the end of July... here in Derby  :-\

Thanks Saddad - probably about mid to late August for me then.  I tried to get potatoes going throughout the summer into Autumn - hence the Epicures, Anyas and Golden Wonders - here's hoping :-)

As Saddad said,  Anyas can be left until quite late in the season. I'd just like to add that they are a bit prone to scab (harmless but not pretty) if the soil in the bag is allowed to dry out.
