But she has been clever enough to get Gordon Brown by the short and curlies.  It doesn`t matter what he actually promised her, now that she has stood in front of the TV cameras and said sweetly "Yes, I trust the Prime Minister"  if he doesn`t peform he`s going to be in the sh..t up well past his ears.
