Does anyone know what these tulips are called, please?

(Their leaves are extremely shiny, I notice)

They are shooting up in several places in my garden and although we have lived here for 12 years and they started in one place only, and, I haven't moved any - I don't know why.

Maybe someone can shed some light.

I've just been doing a bit of Googling and have found the answer.

Apparently, they are called Saxatalis, one of the Species tulips and they self-seed (unlike the other tulips), which explains why they are travelling.

I do like them and their only drawback seems to be that they are quite straggly in growth, but they do open out when the sun shines, which is really nice and they look like stars.
