Hi, we've cleared the front garden of 6 years of weeds, grass and compacted soil from the previous owners parking their car on the lawn (weed), and instead of a fence I've put some cypress laylandii in to start a hedge off we've also placed a few old bricks flat into the middle to make a feature.

I'll be placing an old used BBQ onto it, it's about 22'' across and a bowl about 1' deep, the whole thing is roughly 3'  off the ground (to the lip) I'm looking for a nice trailing flower be it annual or perennial i don't mind and hope i can find something that will droop down to the floor as well as look and smell delicious.  ;D

Any idea's would be appreciated as I'm more into my fruit and veg than the flower side of things.

Cheers, Gobby.

pinks, lots of varieties to choose from and smell brill, I also like campanula (bellflower), I have a deep blue one, perennial, too  ;D
strange, Ray's just done the same with our old rusty bbq, took the lid off, turned it upside down and put it on the legs, if that makes sense  ;D

Trailing Rosemary is lovely or how about some trailing Sweet Peas such as 'Sugar and Spice'?
