I know there is a specific shed board, but just wanted to know how people deal with security with theirs?

I have a cheap £110 6x4 shed I got from Focus.  Up until last year I had a fairly flimsy lock on it ( I think I got five locks for a £1 from poundland.

The lock became rusty, so I replaced it with a proper staple and big bulky lock (purely because I found one in a draw at home.

Then of course, I got broken into.  Nothing worth nicking so I didn't worry.

Now I have less stress - I just leave it open.  If anyone wants to get into it, they just need to move the concrete door stop and it swings open wide.  In it I have stuff I've pulled out of skips, a few seeds, some £10 B&Q tools (spade, fork and kneeling pad) and a few £1 hand tools.

Ive gotta 6'x8' shed on the plot, its got a standard key/shed-lock thing on it (the type with the really long key) and a padlock on the top. Last time I had it broken into the only thing they nicked was the padlock!!!! Ive got all sorts in their, seeds, seat, heater, cooker... and a tool box full of screw drivers, hammers, nails, saws etc and gardening tools which they would be lucky to get 20p for if they tried to sell them on!

In 5 years Ive had the shed broken into twice - both times nothing has been taken. I now have a sign on the shed saying "'nought worth nicking in here"  :)

In my view if they want to get in they will... the more secure it is the more damage they will do.  >:(
Best bet is just not to leave anything of any monitery value in there!

We have had a lot of things go missing on our site over the last couple of weeks, but for some reason they didnt take anything from our shed! It could be that it doesnt have a door, or glass in the window and they thought -who would be so stupid to leave anything in an open shed? Had an offer of a door not sure I will bother now :)
