Have had my earlies chitting on windowsill for last few weeks. Noticed today that some have gone a bit wrinkley. Does this mean i need to get them planted asap or throw them away. My first year so i don't know what to do. :-\

They will be fine! Definitely don't throw themaway, plant themwhen you have time.

I always think that they will suck up water from the soil, so plant them.

daileg

this is usual for seed potatoes will go wrinkly as they use moisture from within to create chitting process they will be fine plant them

Kingfisher

I have put all mine in and they are wrinkley

mine are all wrinkly too and going in tomorrow.

I always assume 'wrinkly' is good... It means the goodness in the seed potato is being spent producing shoots....
