Just thought I'd start a thread for our favourite seed heads. :)

Mine has to be Teasel, not just for it's magnificent seed head, but I just love to see the little reservoirs all down the stem where the leaves join, after rainfall ! Oh, and lovely and spikey too !  ;D

I LOVE teasels!  ;D I remember the first time I tried growing them, I had a large amount of them growing right beside the fence and a lady came by and asked if she could have some to make those funny little hedgehog pomander thingies that were all the fashion 10 years ago! I had some 6 ft beauties last year, and this year they are just rosettes in the ground, but hopefully next year a good display again!

Wow Plocket, fabulosso photos!  I love your cardoon Eric, hope mine looks something like that this time next year!  (Tis growing very well by the way Cleo).

We have some excellent photographers on this site.  Should make calendars or greeting cards or something!  They are all wonderful, and I think getting better and better!  ;D
