Any ideas how to remove reluctant 'lumps' from bubblers?  My 'free' blackberry and apple wine is looking good. Made from the residue in the jelly bag after making Blackberry and apple jelly!  Cheers, Tony. ;D

I tend to use the cylinder airlocks which are easier to clean.

How about a bit of tubing on one end and attaching the tubing to a tap to blast out the grot?

Jeremy.

3rd gallon of cider on the way, the wine has pretty much finished for now -except for a kit I though that I'd try out.

How about using steredent? I use this to clean my demijohns when they have bits sticking to the sides, it may work on your airlocks! DP

Thanks for those replies,  sorry about the long absence, gone broadband when they say "should take no more than ten days.........."  fibbers.  All the very best to all from Tony.

I have a very small bottle type brush which I bought from a shop on-line, alternatively try putting 1/2 a teaspoon of clean sand and a drop of warm water in the airlock, put your fingers over the ends and shake like mad
