Well, what  a picture this morning was,  the snow had reached 6 - 7 ins when we decided
to go for it !       :o
One or two cars had left already by 10.30 am but the Close and bay areas were still packed with
snow laden cars.   Every where was quite - no distant hum from traffic and had a sense of  being
on another planet.    Knew the B roads were slush laden and some traffic occassionaly crawled
through.    OH put on his M&S  stetson - bover boots and the like, and got down to clearing the
   car for take off.
My Indiana Jones,  nearly lost his credentials as it was a bit colder than we thought !    ::)

Got the car warmed up and all the gadgets working while I collected my neighbour.
Off we crawled  3 senior citizens ' having a ball ' .      Did about 50yds backwards in and
around parked cars untill i pointed the way I wanted to go.   Crunching and rock and rolling over
the unsullied snow  ---   we started to titter !!

Fantastic --   don't brake, take it slowly and we were soon on our way down ' slush valley '.
You wouldn't beleive how many people didn't get to work this morning --  but they made
   it to Asda !!!      ;D

Felt like 1942,   every one had a smile and a joke about the weather, even the checkout was
fun '  you made it then  '  ' don't fancy the journey home '   ' more this afternoon --  whatever '

We got home -  warm and tingling,  was a good day ,      ;)

I always find it odd, how people look out the window and decide "Its far too bad to get to work", but then after an hour or so, they think, "Best get some food in, then", and although the conditions are worse than earlier, off they trot to the supermarket.

Wonder what they boss would say, if they met over the frozen food counter?

cornykev

They'd probably get the   Chop.  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

"What a sweet little old lady"........
                             I want em saying
"Oh Crap! Whats she up to now ?"
