Feeling a bit fed up today, out of action at the lottie because I've got my left wrist and thumb in a splint for 2 weeks after an incident at work yesterday. So to cheer myself up. I thought I'd post a few pics of what we have been up to on the plots we have been clearing the last few weeks; my OH and son's new plot that was very overgrown that they took over in November. Oh well, there always the planting plans to finalise...... :-\

Before, November 2008, looking from the front through the hawthorn arch...

January 2009, same place...

November 2008, left side with brambles 20' long...

January 2009, after hacking back the wilderness...

Right side...

..and now, after a few bramble burning sessions!

There is a shed in their somewhere.....

.....there it is! Even found a little patio area under the brambles.

January 2009..looking a bit better now, a path visible and everything!

If it's not pouring with rain, I'm either in the garden or at the lottie! Probably still there in the rain as well TBH....🥴

shame about your wrist, thank goodness it's not full on planting season  :)
isn't it amazing, all that space under the growth, bramble potash for your crops and a patio bonus  ;D

Well done on everyones hard work.
At least you have plenty of time to organise your seeds and planing out where to put everything.

It's got some action going on...... it has a path and some beds dug out! :-X Doesn't look as dramatic as the other one though!! ;D

Such a drastic measure just to get out of digging and clearing the lottie.  Eeeeh.  I don't know.  Some people will do anything to get out of a bit of work ;D ;D ;D

Looks great Deb! Is it the Derbyshire air that makes you such hard workers!!! When is the spring open day? I can't remember when last years was now.

If we can get there again I'll be there like a shot, we've been twice now and I love the plots where you are. I'm sure you'll have the new plots looking as great as your first one!  ;)
