I guess many of you are like me and find that 'space' is at a premium in the greenhouse over the next three or four months and I thought you might like to see this space saver.

I have always advocated the use of square pots against round for saving space.

This morning I was washing a few pots in preparation for later in the season and on seeing them altogether I thought it quite amazing that I could get so many pots in such a small place.

In picture one there are six hundred pots in a space of approx 18" x 12" and there is the same amount in the storage tray in pic two. This tray slides very easily under the bench so is not in my way.

The other thing about this size of pot is; 15 will sit in a 14" x 9" tray so all in all I think they are great space savers.

Similarly by using 1" cell trays I have managed to get over 160 onions in my propagator

Because believe it or not the round ones hold more compost.

That's a bright idea and very logical.

Not being very bright or logical I have just bought a ton of round pots  :(
