So sorry to hear you are not enjoying your new job. The present climate is not good. The news said today that when my daughter graduates in the summer after 4 years she will have gained no benefit on the job front but will start with  a huge debt as the outlook is so bleak. Hope things improve for you soon. I have to say i can't see green shoots either.

I did send you a message on the other thread about your job Richard. So sorry to hear that youre not enjoying it. I have only ever worked one night when I worked in care and it messed me up so much for the rest of the week. I hope you soon get used to it or perhaps find another job.
When I get old I don't want people thinking
"What a sweet little old lady"........
                             I want em saying
"Oh Crap! Whats she up to now ?"

I worked a night shift for 6 months, (ages ago) and found the best way was to just shift your clock 12 hrs, ie, arise just before going to work, and not several hours before, then do my gardening after work for a couple of hours (it was a 7 til 7 shift, 6 nights a week for the whole 6 months)  Saturday nights off were a blast,  most of my mates were cream crackered by 4 in the morning!!
You couldn't make it up!
