Borlotti

Are they any good.  Only had two varieties last year.  Must say they seemed to grow OK.  Anyone else bought them yet.

Moonbeam65

They should be ok but i think its a bit early for them to be selling seed potatoes.

Think it pays to get your seed spuds as early as possable to avoid disappointment

B&Q at Middlesborough retail park have their spuds in.

We are getting 50 sacks of over 16 varieties delivered to our lottie shop from a supplier in Scotland on Friday.    I will be buying mine on Saturday once we have weighed them into smaller bags for customers.  Kestrel first because they always sell out first no matter how many we get.

I just remove mine from the netting and place them loosely in plastic trays.  There they stay until planting time.  Does not really matter about early chitting.  Just ensure you don't snap off any of the shoots when planting.

Homebase in Derby have them out too, but outside in Sub-Zero is not good for them...  :-X

RSJK

Homebase, B&Q,  Wilkinson's and the like do not have a clue on how to keep seed spuds and bedding plants to the standards they require
