Well I made the crimbo cake two months back and dutifully ply it with brandy each week as it deserves  ;D

Lots of other things I will be making nearer the time, like shortbread, sage and onion stuffing ect

However I just wondered what everyone else will be making Christmas week?

I am waiting to be inspired and to nick some of your ideas  ;D

We decided late to stay at home. I didn't fancy flying with blocked ears!! So for the first time ever I've bought in stuff from M&S.... not just turkey but ..... ;D ;D

Anyway one of our Xmas treats is stilton - a half or third of a stilton poked with knitting needles and soaked with port. Gorgeous!

Oh and normally I do cake, pudding and mincemeat in October to let them mature.

I have made 2 christmas cakes. One is for us and the other gets cut into 1/4ers, decorated and is given as thank you gifts to our support technicans at work. In addition they are getting various jars of chutneys with homemade mincemeat and cranberry sauce all in a little basket. Now the cakes have had time to soak in all the brandy I need to ice them this weekend.

I made two xmas puds last year.  The first was OK (then), I hope the second is still OK.  :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\
