Hello all,

Quick queston... I have a number of savoy cabbage (January King) plants growing nicely, although they have yet to form any cabbages. The plants do though have some nice looking leaves on them, and I was wondering if these are also edible (and worth eating). All advice greatly appreciated - thanks!

Never tried the outer leaves but I dont see why you shouldnt try one or two.

Have a go and let us know what they where like.
You can pick your friends, and you can pick your nose, but you can't pick your friends nose

It's all cabbage and they are green. Chop them up, remove central stalk and enjoy.

I always take the outer leaves off  autumn/winter cabbage if there are only the two of us for lunch ..I only take the full cabbage for family Sunday dinners..
You can do the same with the sprout tops too, take as many leaves as you need,.these taste really well..
Cheers .. Jim
