I'm so sorry to hear your sad news B.L. my heart goes out to you....I lost my darling Dad aged 86 just over 6 weeks ago and it still hurts terribly......but we must remember all the wonderful times and there were many......

Condolenses to you and all your family.....

Thought you might like to read this poem, which we had at my Dad's service....

Miss Me, but Let me Go

When I come to the end of the road
and the sun has set for me,
I want no tears in a gloom-filled room
Why cry for a soul set free?

Miss me a little, but not too much
and not with your head bowed low
Remember the love that once we shared,
Miss me, but let me go.

This is a journey we all must take
  and each must take along;
It's all part of God's perfect plan,
a step on the road to home.

When you are lonely and sick of heart
go to the friends we know.
Bury your sorrows in doing good,
Miss me, but let me go.

A big cyber hug from Maggie

I want to give you a big hug as I thinks hugs are completely under rated. Hugs are warm reasuring safe things.

I cant find words easily but I wanted you to know my thoughts are with you

Back on the Board again and have just read all of your messages. Tears filled my eyes as I read each one.  I can't thank you all enough for your words of comfort and the beautiful poetry too.  I am so moved and touched by you all.  It does help to feel all of your warmth.

The funeral was last Monday, held at my house, - so after a week of vicars, funeral directors and flowers, memorial photos, etc, the house has been heavy with gloom.  So today I cleared everything away, and opened all the doors to let some fresh air in and this afternoon I am off to buy some bulbs to plant in the garden and the lottie. That is not to say It won't take some time to come to terms with things, losing anybody close is a big deal, but life is for living and my allotment awaits me. Thanks again to each one of you who took the time to post messages, I really appreciate it.  Love, busy_lizzie
